Yoga is now acknowledged as a way towards creating an improved sense of well-being that includes all aspects of ourselves - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
Our Yoga classes are designed not to fit any model but rather to serve the needs of the people participating in them. TYA teachers are trained to a high standard in structural anatomy as well as in the disciplines and philosophy of Yoga. They will therefore be able to be of assistance to all who enter their classes, regardless of the student's prior experience or level of skill.
A general class will usually consist of movement and postures (known as asana), training of the awareness (known as pratyahara), relaxation and meditation (known as dhyanam).
The pressures of modern living with its hectic agendas often leave us feeling fractured and fragmented. The word Yoga means 'to yoke' ~ to bring all of ourselves, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual ~ back into balance and alignment. Using the methods of Yoga mentioned above, our students leave our classes feeling restored to their own sense of wholeness.
