MUKTI's Grants during 2016

MANY THANKS to all our friends and supporters without whom none of this would have been possible.

During this time we made grants of £24,407 as follows:

MAHER: a total of £5,000 in 2016 to Sukhsandhya.

Since we began contributing to Maher in 2010, this makes a total of £67,370 MUKTI has donated.


KARM MARG: a total of £11,500 in 2016 - including £10,500 for the children's education and staff salaries; and an honorarium of £1,000 to Veena Lal, Karm Marg's founder/director.

Since we began contributing to Karm Marg in 2004, this makes a total of £236,016 MUKTI has donated.


NAZ CARE HOME: a total of £2,000 for the care and education of children who are HIV Positive

Since we began contributing to the Naz Care home in 2006, this makes a total of £125,390 MUKTI has donated of which £49,090 was given by Yoga teachers from the Asociación de Yoga Tradicional in Spain.


GOA YMCA : a total of £4,372 in 2016 to support children in Goa who are in need of financial assistance to complete their education.

Since 2013 we have donated £12,422 for this project.


RISHIKESH, INDIA: £285 for school fees for two children.


CENTREPOINT: a total of £500 in 2016 to help homeless young people in the UK.

Since we began contributing to Centrepoint in 2013, this makes a total of £2,870 MUKTI has donated.


LAUNCHPAD: £500 to Launchpad, Reading to help homeless people in Reading

Since we began contributing to Launchpad in 2015, this makes a total of £1,500 MUKTI has donated.


DEPRESSION XPRESSION: £250 in 2016 to help a group in Reading which supports people with depression

During this time we made grants of £30,452 as follows:

MAHER: a total of £10,900 in 2015 to Sukhsandhya.

Since we began contributing to Maher in 2010, this makes a total of £62,370 MUKTI has donated.


Karm Marg: a total of £12,000 in 2015 - including £10,000 for the children's education and staff salaries; and an honorarium of £2000 to Veena Lal, Karm Marg's founder/director.

Since we began contributing to Karm Marg in 2004, this makes a total of £224,516 MUKTI has donated.


Goa YMCA : a total of £4,732 in 2015 to support children in Goa who are in need of financial assistance to complete their education.

Since 2013 we have donated £12,422 for this project.


Rishikesh, India: £242 for school fees for two children.


Centrepoint: £1,938 of this £438 was donated to sponsor 3 rooms for homeless young people in the UK for a year

Since we began contributing to Centrepoint in 2013, this makes a total of £2,370 MUKTI has donated.


Launchpad: £1,000 to Launchpad in Reading to help homless people.


Naz Care Home: Since 2013 Yoga teachers from the Asociación de Yoga Tradicional in Spain have taken responsibility for raising money for the Naz Care Home.

From 2006 to 2012 MUKTI UK donated a total of £74,300 to the Naz Care Home.



MUKTI's Grants during 2013

THANKS to all our friends and supporters, in 2013 MUKTI raised £28,600.

During this time we made grants of £30,814 as follows:

MAHER: a total of £10,200 in 2013 - including £10,000 to Sukhsandhya; and £200 to a young woman who had grown up at Maher and was getting married.

Since we began contributing to Maher in 2010, this makes a total of £35,900 MUKTI has donated.


Karm Marg: a total of £15,000 in 2013 - including £12,000 for the children's education and staff salaries; and an honorarium of £3000 to Veena Lal, Karm Marg's founder/director.

Since we began contributing to Karm Marg in 2004, this makes a total of £199,500 MUKTI has donated.


Goa Boys Education: with support from James D'Silva and his Garuda students, a total of £3,900 for living expenses, accommodation and education for 4 young men at college in Goa.


Rishikesh, India: £190 for school fees for two children.


Centrepoint: £432 to sponsor 3 rooms for homeless young people in the UK for a year.


Crisis at Christmas Appeal: £1,092 for 5 tables for a total of 50 homeless people, providing hot meals, medical check-ups and other services on Christmas Day.

Since we began contributing to Crisis at Christmas in 2012, this makes a total of £1498 MUKTI has donated.


Naz Care Home: Since 2013 Yoga teachers from the Asociación de Yoga Tradicional in Spain have taken responsibility for raising money for the Naz Care Home.

From 2006 to 2012 MUKTI UK donated a total of £74,300 to the Naz Care Home.
