YVONNE DAVIES

Yvonne's journey into Yoga was an unexpected one. Her physio recommended attending Yoga classes to relieve chronic plantar faciitis. Years of much loved, high impact, fitness classes came to an end. A new door opened and her magical journey with Yoga began under the tutelage of Ben Parkes.
Wanting to truly understand Yoga and all it's rich and beautiful philosophy, Yvonne embarked on the TYA Foundation course in 2014. She graduated from the subsequent Teacher Training course in 2017.

She is married with three children. One of her own and two that she sees as her own, two grandchildren and is passionate about saving trees and green spaces. Yvonne is an avid reader, musician and homemaker. A lover of all things nature and nurture.

“My Yoga classes are held in the beautiful green and lush county of Wiltshire. I also teach corporate Yoga locally and hold regular workshop collaborations with other Yoga teachers and wellness practitioners. We also have a Yoga walking group and head off on an adventure once a month.”

“My aim for each class is to help students find those spaces in both their body and mind. To find balance and peace in our busy world. The wonderful cyclical nature of the moon and sun along with the transitions through the seasons theme heavily in each class along with Auyervedic principles and Yoga philosophy. I love studying anatomy and physiology. Yoga offers us all the wonderful opportunity to release tight muscles, fascia and emotional tension through Asana, Pranayama and chanting.”

“My classes are suitable for all students, regardless of experience. Modifications and props are used to assist in Asana to ensure that every class is inclusive and accessible to all.”

In addition to the in person Yoga classes Yvonne also teaches Yoga classes via Zoom and Facebook. Yvonne is also a qualified Yin Yoga Teacher and enjoys bringing all aspects of Yin to her students.
