Tracey has been working in the field of body-orientated work for over 10 years. Her own explorations of the power of working with the body/mind started at the age of 10 when she took up dance classes at a local school. This love of dance and movement continued into her adult life, and she studied dance and drama at university level. Recognising the benefits of movement in her work with disabled and able-bodied children, she then went deeper into studying the creative uses of movement by undertaking research for her Masters degree and learning her professional skills as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist. Yoga became a large part of her life during her new work and was the most grounding way of staying connected to her own experience whilst working deeply with others in a psychotherapeutic way.

Tracey integrates her knowledge of movement psychotherapy and Yoga in her work within NHS and therapeutic communities, and continues to enjoy her own personal practice of Yoga and dance.

“I believe everyone deserves to honour and find their own unique and beautiful light within. Yoga offers us this opportunity. We all need a silent place to listen to our body's messages, and Yoga offers us this chance of exploration in so many ways. When we take the time to work respectfully with our body's integrity, we can gain an intimate knowledge of ourselves as a whole unit. It is with this in mind that I teach the practice of Hatha Yoga. A discount is offered to Fire Rescue services in my classes.”
