Margaret first attended a Yoga class over 30 years ago. For the first 10 years her attendance was intermittent, but one thing was for sure, every time she returned to Yoga it felt like she was going home. In recent years and with much encouragement from her teacher, Eileen Bray, she found the time to embark on her training. After looking around at various ‘schools’ it became evident that there was only one association with whom to train, The Traditional Yoga Association.

“I have always been aware that we are small specks in the Universe, but also equally aware that all these small specks put together are the Universe, the whole. So what has this got to do with Yoga?”

“Yoga means unity, it's about the integration of the many facets of our being, the unification of our Mind, Body & Spirit. I believe this unity can only be achieved by practising Yoga. How do I teach Yoga to others?”

“By emphasising that synchronising movement with breath will help students become familiar with their internal and external function and form. By helping students to internalise their thoughts so that they can get in touch with and work with total inner awareness. By ensuring students work safely within and sometimes just beyond, where they think the limit of their inhibitions is. How do I develop as a Yoga teacher?”

“By continuing to seek out the best teachers available – some of whom, I believe, are the experienced tutors of The Traditional Yoga Association. By continuing to update and broaden my knowledge which will ultimately benefit my students.”

“Finally, and most importantly to me, to teach from the heart.”
