Awareness
Yoga is about the recognition that at every moment of our lives we stand at a crossroad - a place of choice but also a place of infinite possibilities. Once we are aware of the crossroad, aware with our body, aware with our heart, aware with our mind, we know how to set ourselves up to take the right direction.

Course content
The course will provide students with a thorough grounding in all aspects of Yoga — its history and philosophy, asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork) and meditation — as well as anatomy and physiology. Particular emphasis will be placed on the mechanics of movement in order that students can learn to teach postures in a way that is both safe and creative. This is an intensive course that will call its participants to bring to it all their vitality and abilities.
Requirements
The course involves 500 contact hours and it will take two years to complete the course to diploma standard.
There will be at least 100 hours of project work and home study per year in addition to the training days. All students will need to continue to attend their weekly Hatha Yoga class throughout the duration of the course. Throughout the second year of the course teaching practice will be required.
Enrolment
In order to enrol, students need to have been doing Hatha Yoga for a minimum of two years and be 25 years of age or over. Every effort will be made to help students catch up on any training days missed, however — if more than 4 days are missed, the student will be required to repeat the year.
Provision is made for grant aid under certain conditions.
