Yoga Foundation Course

A course for finding your way into Yoga.

This is for all Yoga practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of the history, philosophy and practice of Yoga. In the West asana practice has gained ascendency and is almost all that is thought of when anyone mentions Yoga. However, Yoga is a philosophy that while it encompasses asana practice, is very much more than that. The course will broaden the understanding of those who attend, making them aware of the very rich heritage they are stepping into. We will look at all the authoritative texts on Yoga - including the Upanishads, Patanjali and the later Pradipika. One of the primary aims of the course is to give the serious student a help in creating and building a spiritual practice that suits the life they are living.

Students wishing to attend the Teachers Training Course with the TYA will have to complete this Foundation Course first.
