Having trained as a dancer as a child, Alex was keen to find an exercise that maintained her flexibility and strength. After being encouraged to try Yoga, she was hooked. She went on from attending regular classes to becoming a qualified teacher with both the Traditional Yoga Association® and Birthlight.
“After searching for a form of exercise that would keep me interested, I thoroughly enjoyed my first Yoga class and could not wait to attend my next class. Aside from toning the body, maintaining suppleness and flexibility, I enjoyed learning about the well-being effects it has on the body (aiding digestion, improving circulation etc). As my knowledge grew, I wanted to pass this knowledge onto others so becoming a teacher became a natural progression. Having had a travelling career, I was also able to attend Yoga classes all over the world and can now pass on my worldwide Yoga experiences. I encourage relaxation at the end of my classes to encourage those with busy lifestyles to take time out for themselves. I teach safe and enjoyable classes of mixed gender, age and ability and also private tuition. I teach general Hatha Yoga, Birthlight Pregnancy Yoga and Birthlight Mother and Baby Yoga in Tilehurst, Reading (for further information on Birthlight, please look on their website 'Birthlight.com)”.
